Mustard Bonnie Wholegrain

Our rustic Bonnie Wholegrain is made with White wine and Scottish honey. The typical Sauvignon notes of lime, gooseberry and grapefruit provide a delicious aroma when the seeds are crushed on the palate. This mustard is rounded off with an early summer blossom honey from an independent beekeeper in the north of Aberdeenshire.

Rotisseur mustard is not only suitable for steaming and frying, but also for seasoning and marinating grilled meat. The flavour is retained to the greatest possible extent even at high temperatures. Try it also with potato dishes, e.g. in a dressing for a potato salad, or as a crust on white fish.

Great Taste Award Judging Panel 2024

“The mustard looks thick with seeds and has an amazingly fragrant aroma – all the ingredients mentioned can be found on the nose. The taste explodes in the mouth, first mustard, then lime, then the fruitiness and finally the honey rounding it off. The seeds also have a fantastic bite to them. One judge said she would prefer less seeds, so a slightly looser texture.”

“The initial fermented smell of this mustard gives way to an attractive sweetness. The slightly crunchy mustard seeds are rounded rather than harsh in flavour and the bitter sweet notes give it a long, complex finish.”
